High Temperature Principle & Benefits of Chicken Manure Composting Machine

You might be wondering: If the chicken manure composting machine doesn’t burn coal or gas, where does the high temperature come from?

Three sources of heat work together to make the heat, but the main source of heat is actually hidden in the manure.

When the machine forces air into the microbes, they get a lot of oxygen, which makes them multiply quickly and break down the organic matter. This process produces a lot of biothermal energy, which naturally raises the temperature of the tank to between 60 and 75 °C.

Of course, it’s not stable enough to rely only on microbes. There is also an electric auxiliary heating system built into the equipment. Also, a waste heat recovery system “intercepts” heat from exhaust gases to warm up fresh air, making sure that all of the thermal energy is used.

The core is microbial heat generation, the assurance is provided by electric auxiliary heating, and waste heat recovery optimises efficiency—-the synergy of these three elements ensures that the equipment operates efficiently and stably.

What’s the purpose of the high temperatures in a chicken manure composting machine?

This environment, which is between 60 and 75 °C, has three very important benefits:

First, it completely gets rid of germs. Over 99% of common pathogens like E. coli and Salmonella are killed, making sure that biosecurity starts at the source.

Second, it kills parasite eggs. Almost all of the eggs die, which stops the spread of disease through manure.

Third, it picks the most important microbial communities. The high temperature kills off contaminants that are sensitive to heat while keeping and growing beneficial microorganisms like Bacillus species.

The Bolong chicken manure composting machine’s main feature is that it doesn’t just “process” waste; it turns it into a useful product through aerobic fermentation at high temperatures.

Chemical Changes During the Processing of Chicken Manure Composting Machines

Fresh chicken manure typically has a pH level of between 7.0 and 8.0, indicating weak alkalinity. During fermentation in a chicken manure composting machine, the pH level undergoes dynamic changes. It may temporarily rise to between 8.5 and 9.0 during the high-temperature phase due to ammonia production. Then, it gradually decreases to between 6.5 and 7.5 in the later maturation stage, reaching the neutral range that is optimal for crop growth.

Fresh chicken manure has a high moisture content of typically 60%-75%. Through high-temperature fermentation and forced ventilation in the composting machine, the moisture content of the final product is reduced to 25%-35%. This reduction in moisture not only facilitates storage and transportation, but also signifies material stabilisation.

Most crucially, nitrogen undergoes a transformation. During processing in the composting machine, the proportion of volatile ammonia nitrogen in total nitrogen gradually decreases and converts into more stable organic nitrogen. Due to the ‘concentration effect’ resulting from moisture evaporation and reduction in material weight, the final product achieves a total nitrogen content of 3.0-4.0%. This transformation from volatile to stable organic nitrogen ensures a more gradual release when the product is applied to soil, providing sustained fertilising effects.

Beneficial Microorganisms Produced by Chicken Manure Composting Machines

Through high-temperature fermentation and screening during the composting process, the surviving microorganisms in the final product are primarily heat-resistant, spore-forming bacteria, with Bacillus species dominating.

Key bacterial strains that have been isolated from organic fertiliser produced using a chicken manure composting machine include Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus balticus. These strains are not artificially added, but are indigenous microorganisms that are naturally present in chicken manure and are selected and enriched during the high-temperature fermentation process.

Bacillus species are recognised as plant root-promoting bacteria that offer multiple benefits to soil and plants, such as dissolving insoluble phosphorus, secreting plant hormones and inhibiting pathogen growth. When the organic fertiliser produced is applied to soil, these microorganisms colonise the area around root systems and continuously exert their effects.

The True Value of Chicken Manure Composting Machines

Bolong’s high-temperature, aerobic chicken manure composting machine transforms troublesome livestock waste into a stable, safe and valuable organic fertiliser. This process preserves and converts nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and naturally selects and enriches beneficial microbial communities, including growth-promoting Bacillus species.

When applied to soil, this organic fertiliser provides not only nutrients, but also a complete microbial ecosystem.
